Stinnett Cemetery, Yell County, Arkansas

Submitted by: Ann Petillo Bowie. Located just south of Hwy. 22 Near Stinnett Creek (or Mill Creek) some 7 1/2 miles from Dardanelle, west toward Delaware, AR. This land was originally owned by Henry Stinnett. Many graves are marked only with native stone. With the help of Miss Grace Johnson several of these graves are named. Just the middle of the cemetery is mowed by Miss Johnson and Lester Linn. The north end of the cemetery has a few unmarked stones, which are Negro graves, believed to be slaves.
