Roy Wayne Horn is the son of Roy E. Horn and the older brother of Billie Bob Horn. Roy Wayne was a rather highly decorated Navy seaman who was at Pearl Harbor and was on the USS Hornet (aircraft carrier) when it was sunk by the Japanese in October of 1942. He drifted in the Pacific with other sailors for seven days before being rescued. In all, he participated in 65 sea battles, according to the Yell County Record.
