The Family of Echobode Herring

1. George Bryant Herring was born on October 7, 1858. On June 5, 1883. he married Mary Ellen McRorey who was born on September 13, 1865. She died on April 15, 1934, and two years later he died on July 21. 1936. They were the parents of eleven children of which nine lived to be adults.
   1. Lula Mae Herring was born on March 19, 1884. She married Doss McReynolds. She died on June 9, 1910. They were the parents of two children, Florence and George, both of which are now deceased.
   2. Mance C. Herring was born on March 3, 1887. He was married to Vergie Coffman and they had three children. Loran Wesley, Fred Mance (deceased) and Faye.
   3. Mary Ann Herring was born on October 26, 1892. She married John Wesley Coffman and they had two children. Irene Coffman and Luther Coffman. Mary Ann died on October 31, 1974.
   4. John Robert Herring was born on February 28, 1894. He married Christina Gibbs and they were the parents of four children. Kaye (deceased), Wanna, Bob (deceased), and Gail. John Robert died on August 14, 1970.
   5. Allen Alphews was born on February 8, 1896. He married Ruby Hensley and they have three children. Shirley, Charles, and Margie.
   6. Byron Bryant was born on October 26, 1898. He died on May 20, 1929.
   7. William Connell (Bill) was born on June 30, 1901. He died while serving in the U.S. Navy on February 3, 1920.
   8. Dollie Herring was born on February 2, 1905. She wed Albert Fisher. They had one child who is deceased.
   9. James Franklin Herring was born on December 29, 1907, and married Ossie Mae Lanier. He died on August 18, 1972.
   10. Leonard Herring (twin of Luther) - both died within a few weeks of their births. No dates are available.

2. William Connell Herring was born on April 24. 1860. He was first married to Flora Skaggs who was born on May 19, 1874. She died on March 21, 1903. He then married Sallie Smith. They had one son. William Connell Herring died on September 23, 1921.
   1. William Conley Herring was born on Auqust 7, 1908. He married Elizabeth Antoinette Mades who was born on March 17, 1911. She died in November 1971. They were married on June 7, 1934. They were the parents of six children. After the death of his first wife, William married Florence M. Herring on January 29, 1972.
