The Family of Betsy Ann Herring

1. Martha Hunt was born July 1, 1859, and died September 26, 1920. She was married to David Hunt. She was his first wife's niece. To this union were born five children.
   1. Pallie Hunt was born in 1887 and died in 1970. She married J.B. Herring. He was born in 1881 and died in 1944. They had two children.
      1. Lloyd Herring was born December 2, 1910. He died January 13, 1913.
      2. Living (F) Herring married Otis Smith. She was born on October 31, 1919. She married on March 25, 1938. They were the parents of one daughter.
         1. Living (F) Smith was born December 10, 1940. She married a Greb. They had one daughter.
            1. Living (F) Greb was born April 12, 1967.

         Living (F) (Herring) Smith was widowed and married Lewis Ernest. After his death, she married Living (M) James on October 18, 1980.

   2. Gertrude Hunt married Luster Hayes. She was born on March 8, 1896. They were the parents of four children.
      1. Living (F) Hayes married Living (M) Meadows. They have two children.
         1. Living (M) Meadows married and has two children.
         2. Living (F) Meadows is an adopted daughter who is married but has no children.
      2. Living (M) Hayes married Living (F) Code. They have two children.
         1. Living (M) Hayes is married to Living (F) Jones. They have two sons.
         2. Living (F) Hayes never married.
      3. Living (M) Hayes married Living (F) McCoy. They have two children.
         1. Living (F) Hayes married Living (M) Cragin. They have two children.

      1. Vadis Hunt married Mark Ball. Their descendants are listed in the Martha Herring family under Mark Ball.
      2. Living (M) Hunt married Living (F) Denton. Their descendants are listed in the Camellia Herring family under Hubert Denton.
   5. Fred Hunt was born February 7, 1895, married Lora Hall. She was born December 1, 1899, and died August 29, 1970. They have one child.
      1. Living (F) Hunt was born January 3, 1924. She was married to Robert Straud. He was born October 6, 1918. He died September 6, 1968. To this union were born three children.
         1. Living (M) Straud was married to Living (F) McMillian. He was born on August 25, 1943. They were the parents of two children.
            1. Living (M) Straud was born March 2, 1964.
            2. Living (F) Straud was born on January 7, 1966.

            They were then divorced and he married Living (F) Kim.

         2. Living (M) Straud, born September 25, 1946, married Living (F) Talbot. They divorced and he married Living (F) Smith. He has three children.
            1. Living (M) Straud was born on August 26, 1966.
            2. Living (M) Straud was born on March 31, 1969.
            3. Living (F) Straud was born on August 7, 1971.
         3. Living (F) Straud was born December 1, 1956. She married Living (M) Conner.

Betsy Ann Hunt married a Willis after the death of her first husband. To this union were born four children.

1. Nan married Joe Gross and they had no children.
2. George died of rabies.
3. Mollie married Tom Webb. They had seven children.
   1. Annie Webb married Martin Farnsworth. They had two sons.
   2. Floy married Unknown Taylor. They had children.
   3. Archie was married and had children.
   4. Arlie was married and had children.
   5. Kerring was married and had children.
   6. Marvin never married.
   7. Lester married but never had children.
4. Isabelle Willis was born April 20, 1875, and died December 5, 1943. She married J.J. Rupe. They were the parents of seven children that lived to be adults. He was born October 9, 1864, and died November 5, 1957.
   1. Hillary Rupe was born October 11, 1886, and died May 1, 1961. He married Lillian Hunt.
   2. Mittie Rupe was married to Joe Pierce. They had four children.
      1. Living (F) Pierce married Living (M) Hill.
      2. Living (F) Pierce married Living (M) Pace. They had children.
      3. Living (M) Pierce was married.
      4. Living (M) Pierce was married.
   3. George Rupe lived to be 18 years old and died of measles.
   4. Living (F) Rupe married John L. Downs in 1946. He died in 1971. She then married Living (M) Copenhaven in 1976. She adopted Ethel Rupe's (her sister) two daughters after Ethel's death.
   5. Living (F) Rupe was born September 6, 1912. She married William Chism. He was born January 28, 1908, and died January 21, 1974. To this union were born four children.
      1. Living (F) Chism was born January 17, 1930. She married Living (M) Hicks on July 1, 1950. They were the parents of three children.
         1. Living (F) Hicks was born August 16, 1952, and married Living (M) Gillispie.
         2. Living (F) Hicks was born January 1, 1956, and married Living (M) Bryant.
         3. Living (F) Hicks was born August 14, 1961.
      2. Julia Fancis Chism was born on April 28, 1932, and died within two weeks.
      3. Living (M) Chism was born March 3, 1934, and married Living (F) Barker. To them were born two children.
         1. Toni born August 8, 1956 and died September 16, 1979
         2. Living (M) Chism was born October 25, 1965.
      4. Living (M) Chism was born November 11, 1941, and married Living (F) Baskin on November 16, 1961. They have two children.
         1. Living (M) Chism was born October 27, 1962.
         2. Living (M) Chism was born September 2, 1971.
   6. Ethel Rupe was married to Grady Newman. She had five children and died with the birth of her last child.
      1. Living (F) Newman is the mother of four children.
      2. Living (F) Newman is the mother of one son and one daughter.

   7. Effie Rupe married Willie Womack and had eight children.

      2. Twins were born on March 14, 1920. One died at birth. The other was Living (M) Womack. He married Living (F) Atkins. They have no children.
      3. Living (F) Womack was born December 18, 1921. She married Living (M) Wallace. They have three children.
      4. Living (F) Womack was born October 4, 1923. She married Living (M) Harod. They have three children.
      5. Living (M) Womack was born December 24, 1925. He married Living (F) Horn and they have five children.
