Old Baptist Cemetery, Yell County, Arkansas

Copied and updated 7 February 1992 by Oresta Foster and Martin B. Foster Jr. In the late 1800's the Old Baptist Church was 1/2 mile east of the old Riley School House, Yell County, Arkansas Township 5 Range 24-Section 18. This cemetery is about 50 yards west of where the old church stood. It is overgrown with brush. There are about twenty-five graves of native stone and three with markers.

History Note: Martin B. Foster Sr. attended school in the old Baptist Church in the 1890's. He used a slate in the one room with very few windows.
