Bata Mill Cemetery, Yell County, Arkansas

Copied and updated 15 May 1993. Originally typed by Marilyn Roberts. This cemetery is no longer used. It is grown up and hard to find. From Centerville take Hwy 154 for about six miles. Located in the Neeley Community it is on the left side of the road. It can not be seen from the Highway. It has been said that one of the big boats coming up the River had a wreck and a lot of people were buried here, and they did not have the names, just put native stones to mark the graves, At one time this was a large cemetery. There is three acres in this cemetery.

This is on the east side of the cemetery and like a family plot but in concrete. The slab is 50 x 30 with a rigid conduit fence for protection around it. The concrete is thick and the monuments and fence are well anchored or buried in concrete.
