John W. Tucker, aged 59, of Tillar, died in the Dumas hospital Saturday. He had resided in this area for 28 years and was farm manager for Tillar and Company. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Tillar Methodist Church by the Rev. J.E. Christi and Rev. J.N. Shaddox. Burial was in the Tillar cemetery. Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Bennie Hays of Pine Bluff and Mrs. J.R. Pilcher of Greenville, Miss.; three sons, J.W. Tucker, Jr. of Dumas, Eugene Tucker of Greenville, and Cecil Tucker of Rohwer, five sisters, Mrs. Coy Hayes of Crossett, Mrs. Octave Tucker, Mrs. George Edgerly and Mrs. Fred Hood of Memphis and Mrs. Dale Carter of California; four brothers, Frank Tucker of Hawkins, Texas, Vance Tucker of Florence, Will and Russell Tucker of Idaho; and his stepmother, Mrs. Grace DeFir Tucker of Pine Bluff.
