Jan 9, 1929 page 8 col 4, Winchester, Jan 8 - Mrs. Lewis Wright, aged 18, died at her home here yesterday. She is survived by her husband, an infant daughter, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Braswell and four brothers.
Aug. 16, 1929 page 10 - Monticello, Aug 15 - Lucille Lee, aged 15, daughter of Mrs. Donald Lee of Prairie Grove, in southern Drew County, died Monday. She is survived, in addition to her mother, by three sisters, Mrs. May Ferguson of Ladelle, Mrs. Vera Scott of Hamburg, and Miss Mabel Lee of Prairie Grove.
Monticello, Aug. 16, 1929 - Leonard Neal Godwin, aged 52, of Arkansas City, died recently. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Withers Moore of Wynne.
Aug. 15, 1929 Monticello: The first bale of cotton for the 1929 season has been marketed in Monticello, being brought in by Lonnie Pace of Green Hill. The bale weighed 454 pounds and was bought by George Spencer for 29 cents per pound, or $131.66 for the bale, including the premium.
